Our Commitment to Privacy

MyTorahKidsTV takes the privacy of children and families very seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. We comply with applicable children's privacy laws, including the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) where they apply.

Who We Are

MyTorahKidsTV ("we", "us", or "our") provides a Torah educational video and audio streaming service designed for Jewish children. The app is intended to be used by children under the supervision of a parent or guardian, who creates and manages the account.

What We Collect

• Account information: email address and display name of the parent or guardian who creates the account.
• Child profiles: profile name, age, gender, avatar selection, and content language preference. Each parent account can hold up to 8 child profiles. This information is stored in our secure database and tied to the parent account.
• Usage data: videos and audio watched, favorites saved, watch history, watch position, and parental control settings (daily time limits and daily watched minutes).
• Subscription data: if you subscribe to premium content, your subscription status, current plan, and renewal date are stored by our subscription processor (RevenueCat) and made available to the app.
• Device information: device type and operating system version, used solely for compatibility and crash diagnosis.

What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect sensitive personal information from children.
• We do not collect precise location data.
• We do not sell or rent your data to third parties.
• We do not show third-party advertising in the app.
• We do not store payment card details directly — payments are handled entirely by Apple App Store, Google Play, or our subscription processor.
• We do not request microphone, camera, contacts, or storage permissions.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide and personalise the service for each child profile (favorites, watch history, resume position).
• To enforce parental control settings such as daily screen-time limits.
• To deliver premium content to subscribed accounts.
• To send important service notifications (only with your permission).
• To improve our content library and app performance.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase servers operated by Google LLC. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to user data is strictly limited to authorised personnel.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the app. Each has its own privacy policy, which we recommend reviewing:

• Google Firebase — authentication, database (Firestore), storage, and hosting.
• Google Sign-In — optional login method for parents.
• RevenueCat — in-app subscription management and entitlement verification (used only on mobile platforms).
• Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing for subscriptions.

Children's Privacy (COPPA)

MyTorahKidsTV is designed to be used by children under parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information directly from children under the age of 13. All accounts are created and managed by an adult parent or guardian. Child profiles within an account are limited to a name, age, gender, avatar id, and content preferences — none of which require the child to provide personal information directly.

If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at support@mytorahkids.tv and we will delete that information promptly.

Parental Rights

As a parent or guardian, you have the right to:

• Access the data we hold about your account and your children's profiles.
• Request correction of any inaccurate data.
• Request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data — either in-app via Settings → Delete Account, or by following the steps at our Delete Account page.
• Opt out of any non-essential data collection.
• Cancel a subscription at any time via your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data — including child profiles, watch history, favorites, and parental control records — is permanently deleted within 30 days. Subscription records held by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat are governed by those services' own retention policies.

EU Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to data portability, the right to restrict processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. The lawful basis for our processing is the performance of a contract (providing the service you signed up for) and your consent. To exercise any GDPR right, contact support@mytorahkids.tv.

California Users (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information held about you, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
